Awaken's Virtual Programs

💡Not All Virtual Programs Are Created Equal.

We believe it is mission-critical that everyone -- you, me, and the rest of the community committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) -- acts with care and thoughtfulness when shifting DEI education into the virtual arena, especially for conversations that seek to disrupt the status quo while prioritizing the needs of the most marginalized people.

What you should consider before launching a virtual learning program:

  • Webinar vs. Workshop: Are you looking for a short, lecture-based webinar format education that is scalable or an immersive, interactive workshop that involves audience participation?

  • Presentation vs. Dialogue: Is your top priority finding the most efficient way to deliver information or is it engaging your team to learn while having open dialogues?

  • On-demand vs. Live: Do you want a self-paced, pre-recorded, click-through on-demand education solution? Or do you want a live-facilitated, small group learning experience?

Your organization will need different learning solutions based on the context, topic, and audience.

Let us know about your specific needs and we will recommend different solutions!

SUPPORTING YOUR TEAMS DURING COVID-19 💖

“I can’t seem to focus. I feel constantly distracted.”

“How am I supposed to support my team when I, myself, feel so anxious?”

“I’m not used to working from home. I feel disconnected and isolated.”

Rising cases of COVID-19, global shutdown, stock market crash, mass layoffs… there is no doubt many of our lives have been turned upside down in just a few short weeks. With 24/7 news updates and alarms going off in all directions, there is a thick air of overwhelm, panic, and anxiety across the globe.

We’ve gotten urgent requests from business and DEI leaders asking for ways to support their teams: In this chaotic time, how can we create a moment of calm for ourselves and others? How do we hold space for team members who are struggling with anxiety and overwhelm? What can leaders do to communicate effectively to spread calm and clarity? How do we respond to anti-Asian racism and show our Asian/Asian American employees that we care?

Given the pressing needs, we’ve added 3 new topics to support your team while strengthening everyone’s sense of connection, community, and belonging. All of these special topics are available in a workshop or webinar format.
